Hi Barkley, tip to self(1)....be more careful when lifting and turning with a full bucket of water. No, I didn’t spill it on the floor, in fact I rather wish I had....instead I have ended up with a prolapsed disc in my lower spine. And yes, it was OUCH (amongst other words) then, OUCH now and OUCH for some time to come. At least the doggies are all “in the pink”...well, actually the girlie gundogs, the Princessliness Sarika and Purdey the Poomonster, are in the not surprisingly MUD COLOURED BROWN (the paths and tracks round here being filthy at the moment) and Max, well Max is in a bed which I suppose could be pink but is actually BLUE. Anyway they join their injured slave in sending their regards. And finally, one for the anglers.....Two parrots are sitting on a perch. One turns to the other and says "Can you smell fish?" xx

Hi Barkley sorry i've not been around for a while, how are you my friend, not finding it too cold I hope and it looks like it might rain all weekend according to the weather, leaving you some vegetable soup and a mug of hot chocolate to warm you up. Oh yes and Bally being the cheeky girl that she is says if you have the time could you please vote for her as Laydee of the year by sending a private message to theshadow kennel, thank you xxx

Hiya Barkley & Chums. Well it's been a rotten fortnight so forgive me for not visiting. I've had ANOTHER bout of gastroenteritis, mum had a bad reaction to antibiotics and now gran has to go for an emergency appointment at the hospital on the 10th December! So we could do with some hugs.....Love Kim. xxxxx

Sorry I've not visited for a while but the reason is: NOTHING'S HAPPENED!! Yep, has been really boring here, just rain, rain and more rain. Luckily it brightened up today and mum & gran took me for a lovely long walk beside the canal. I had great fun jumping around in all the leaves!. Leaving you some treats. Love Kim.xxxx

Hiya. Well I was apparently a good girl last night with the fireworks. I did bark (a lot) but then settled down next to mum or gran for a cuddle and didn't bother when the little ones went off - which I usually do!. I think it had something to do with some liquid gran has been putting on my food...... Mind you, I didn't want to go into the garden to do what I have to do and got mum up at 12 o'clock when the fireworks had stopped. Gran then got up too but they didn't mind - until I came back in and wanted to play - hee hee! Love Kim. x

Hiya! Well I've had a lovely day. A long walk by the canal trying to get at the ducks and geese. I nearly pulled gran in at one point - hee hee! Then we went to my favourite pet store and I met five dogs. Three were smaller than me so I wagged my tail but two were bigger. I wasn't sure at first but they were soooo goofy that I decided they were OK and had a good sniff and tail wagging session. Mum and gran were so pleased that I didn't growl or lunge that I got yet another toy! That's three I've had this weekend. Apparently I'm 'spoilt' whatever that means. Anyway we came home, I de-fluffed my toy and had a good snooze. Love Kim.xxxx

Hiya Gang. Well mum went out with her birthday money and came back with a toy for me!! Just to show my appreciation, I destroyed it in 45 seconds instead of the usual 10 - hee hee. As she couldn't find anything to buy for herself, gran did something she'd never done before and treated them both to pie and chips. Hmmmm they were lovely! So much so, I nicked the rest of the chips to send to my friends... Love Kim.xxxxx

Hiya Gang. It's nearly weekend YIPPEE. Mum says I'm not allowed to wake her up at 7am on Sunday like I normally do because we apparently get a whole extra hour! One whole hour eh?? Well I'm not spending it in bed. As far as I'm concerned, that's more PLAYTIME!!! Love Kim. xxxx

Hi Barkley, why, after we have a bit of rain, is the mud on our previously dry field paths two inches deep? On the subject of MUD, I have decided I would like to reincarnate Flanders and Swan who composed and sang the song “Mud Mud, Glorious Mud”. If they and their friend THE HIPPOPOTAMUS think that MUD is so great then they can bloody well turn up on my doorstep with buckets of soapy warm water and sponges and give me a hand cleaning two deliriously happy and very dirty girlie gundogs. It would serve them, F and S and the Hippo, right (plus I would like to see a HIPPO trying to hold a sponge let alone give a wash to her princesssliness very skitty knickers Sarika!!!!). Today I am sending over a small lamb and a peppermint flavoured striped hard boiled sweet.........................they are a clue to the appropriate words for my GRUMPY OLD MAN mood.......BAH HUMBUG!!!! Dobes slept through the chaos so, like him, I am off to have a lie down now! x

Hi gang. I'm not a happy bunny today as mum is working (how very dare she!). Still I'm probably happier than her stuck in the office! Can't wait for her to come home then I can drag her into the garden for a good old game of kick the ball, fetch it back, kick the ball, fetch it back, kick........you get the idea!! Sending you a treat, lots of love, Kim.xxxx

Hi Gang Well I've finally pinned down 'the human' and demanded she visited all my friends on my behalf! Things have been quiet here with only one or two BIG BANGS (nasty fireworks). So, I've HAD to bark constantly at them (well you do don't you?). Mum called me a little ****** today because I destroyed yet another new toy she bought me - hee hee. Leaving the remains of my raggy dog for you to finish off. Love Kim.xx

Hi Barkley, all is quiet here. The kennel remains in a state of astonishment after the princessliness and the poo rolling incident. Sarika remains embarrassed. So many questions...Is she still a princess? Is she the new poomonster? Can a princess be a poomonster? Can a poomonster be queen? What is the Hungarian word for poomonster? I HAVE ALSO SPOTTED PURDEY WINKING AT SARIKA AND GIGGLING BEHIND HER PAW ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS, THE SMUG LITTLE SOD. Max has yet to offer an opinion, remaining asleep, surprise surprise, although I think that he is pretending to be asleep to avoid confrontation, A TYPICAL MALE! The good news is that my kennel now works properly...HOORAY...but I had to take all my pics off which was a pity because I was really proud that they had been favourited so many times. Anyway I will hopefully sort and upload some new ones over the weekend. Today I am delivering for all the doggies a kiss, a cuddle and a bonio and for the slaves a slice of the treacle tart I have just made, with clotted cream of course. Have fun. x

Well! Mum takes a few days off posting MY messages 'cos of her 'silly head' and comes back to find everything changed! She says I have to act silly now so she can capture me on video (the only thing is, she's not sure how to get the video from the mobile to the computer - DOH!). Anyway sorry I've not been on for a while - blame mum. Sending lots of treats, love Kim. xxxx
