Hi Sally, loved the Tick Tale. We have ticks in the fields here, deer roaming etc. I treat my lot with Frontline drops - you put onto the skin at the back of the neck. It doesn't stop the ticks attaching but kills them when they start to feed. Don't buy it from the vets - too expensive - much cheaper from petstores on the web. The vets do sell something useful, cost about £2, and that is a tool called an " O Tom" - it makes removing the ticks a piece of cake. Regards David
