Hi Sophie, not done much today,it's been a bit boring really and the weather don't know what to do either.the aroma of fresh manure is now drifting in the door so we're off to lay in the garden and inhale the beautiful fumes.leaving you the friday crunchie.woofs and waggy tails from toggle and button.xxxxxxxxxxxx mmmmm wish you could smell this.xxx
Hi Sophie, our gorgeous Purdey the Poomonster is TWO years old today, a grown up lady now. Sarika and Max are therefore dropping off some birthday cake and a bottle of pop for you. Enjoy x
Hi sophie, the work on the doggies only ark has stopped!!! Not because of workers industrial action (when I say workers I use the term very loosely as I, of course, refer to Sarika, Purdey, Maxwell and me and Maxwell is asleep and the other three of us are pretty useless at ark building!), not because of poor pay or long hours or union policy. Nope, work has stopped on HDS (His David's Ship) WOOF because the sun has come out. It is dry and warm and long may it remain so. Following various incidents featuring my fingers and thumbs, the hammer and me, I am sure that I heard a sigh of relief from the aforementioned digits (those that remain) when we decided to down tools. As a result, today the girlies and dobes are delivering some Soltan factor 25 sun lotion, a knotted handkerchief (also known as my sunhat) and my hammer (because it will be safer if you look after it). Have fun x
Hi Sophie, how are you? I hoped that spring had sprung, if it has I think it has now sprung back into its box because it has been icy cold here. And talking of spring, Sarika did a somersault/back flip yesterday, I shall call it a "Purdey" which is also a bit of a clue as to the outcome. She was chasing a tennis ball which bounced over her head, in her excitement she leapt in the air and did a back flip after the ball .........and landed straight in something disgusting. I think that it had previously "belonged" to a deer or a badger! Sarika was mortified, she is after all a LADY and so was I, because, somehow or other, I ended up with some of it on me. I am simply not articulate enough to describe the awfulness of the stench, not without using a fair number of swearwords anyway. Ugh..Ugh..and treble Ugh!!! Thank goodness for tomato puree (Sarika) and anti bacterial handwash (me)and the washing machine (my clothes). And Purdey clearly smiled when she saw what had happened to both Her Majesty and me (her slave), she was also quite clearly trying to work out how to get some of the pong by rolling on Sarika and/or me. Today's treat therefore is an absolute essential now, a non-bouncing tennis ball. And I am off to check my hands again. Have fun x
Hi Sophie, how are you? It poured with rain here last night but now spring is back, the sun is out and it is getting warm. This will be a short visit to DoggySnaps because I have just noticed Sarika and Purdey getting their wellies on. I am getting the message that a walk - or should I say an expedition featuring sniffing exotic and not-so-exotic smells, rolling in poo, eating poo, hunting and chasing everything including animals, insects and leaves and swimming in any available puddle - is required. And I am not going to mention "getting filthy dirty". It really is a dog's life round here! They are leaving you one of my socks, slightly chewed, and a worm, slightly chewed, and the Heart greatest hits cd because that is playing here at the moment. Have fun x.
Hi Sophie how are you young lady, hope you did not eat too many egggs over the weekend did you get any snow or was it just rain rain and more rain, i was hoping to roll in the snow but it did not hang around long enough. Thanks for treat what was it pringles and cola, today i am leaving you jacket spuds with beef in beer gravy and mixed beans in tomato sauce, have a great week lots of love Dottie xxx
Hi Sophie hope you are keeping well and looking forward to easter wish the weather could be warmer though leaving you a hot cross bun with lashings of butter lots of love rosco xxxxxx
Youhoooo Sophie. yeah, it's wet and windy, and I looked like a drowned rat when I came in from the garden. I did manage a walk this morning, down the lane, and when we got back, the sheep and lambs opposite our house, had broken through the wire mesh fence that was protecting the young trees, they couldn't reach the branches to nibble, could be poisonous, but they were having a right rummage. Their owner won't be pleased when she spots them. Leaving you a white doggy chocolate egg. wags and sniffs Jenny xxxxxxx
Hi Sophie, you will never guess what Sarika and Purdey found in the garden last night. There is a clue in the well-known English phrase "pi**ed as a newt" (although, personally, I have never seen a newt drunk). No, silly you, it wasn't a "pi**ed as"....whatever that might be....it was a NEWT. I haven't seen a newt for many years. I have no idea where it came from nor to where it was going but I think breeding is on its agenda. Although I let it go I was tempted to keep it as a pet because I could have called it TINY as, after all, it would have been MY NEWT! (there's nothing like a good old'un as I now unfortunately have to say with increasing regularity). I could have taken it gunnewt training, I could have taught it recall or even dressage to music. I clearly need to lie down. Meanwhile the newt finders and dobes are delivering some bread and worms in case you should find a newt, if not, according to Purdey, the worms are quite scrummy. And on my behalf there is a packet of Cadbury's mini eggs for your humans because it is Easter and because I, David, think that mini eggs are even scrummier than worms. Enjoy.
Coooooeeeeeee Sophie, how are you doing. We had a strange man in the house today up-dating our security system, so we have had very loud screeching and ringing all afternoon. I even joined in and barked in time with it. I was a bit naughty as the man wanted me to run upstairs so he could check how far I could get before the sensor picked me up. Well Mummy went up and called me and I stayed in the lounge and ignored her completely (highly trained you see.) Eventually I did run upstairs but it was on MY say so and not mummys. Leaving you some mousarka with extra cheese, thank you for your treat. wags and sniffs Jenny xxxxxxx

Hi Sophie, strong winds, heavy rain and deep and thick mud. I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooo glad I have got hairy gundogs who love walkies! I stand a good chance of getting both dogwashers elbow (like tennis elbow but doesn't require a bat!) and agedhousehunk's knee (like housemaid's knee but doesn't require a frock - well, except, perhaps, on Tuesday's!!!!) with all the cleaning (girlie dogs and house) taking place at the moment. Thank goodness for the DoggySnaps photos - they at least give me some idea of how the East European lovelies are meant to look! Thank goodness also that dobes prefers sleeping. A brief David's Dreadful Diet Report, after 10 weeks I have lost 1 stone 3lbs and now I am having a break until after Easter. As a clue as to what is on my eating agenda, sooner rather than later, in fact very much sooner, the mud babes and sleeping baldy are today delivering a tub of Haagen-Dazs icecream - dulche de leche flavour. YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMY. Enjoy x
