Hi Ben, today a tip for the humans. If you decide to ponce yourself up a bit with a quick squirt of Armani Code (men’s version, he added quickly!!!)....well you never know who you might meet on a “walkies”, it could be one of those SIMPLY GORGEOUS LADIES FROM DOGGYSNAPS.....anyway, to continue....make sure that the NOZZLE is not pointing at your eye. Because BLOODY HELL, ARMANI CODE STINGS!!!! (Note to self....must wear glasses when applying aftershave). TYPICALLY the girlie gundogs and dobes, who are all fine, were no support to their aged human slave in his time of need but were seen sniggering behind their paws at his pain and, in particular, his use of the English language! So it is love to you lot from them and the currently partly blind but actually now also very fragrant me. X

Hi Ben, I thought I should let you know that Sarika, Purdey and I (dobes is directing operations from his bedroom) are now collecting wood. We have seven twigs so far, which isn’t as many as I expected but it is not my fault that the girlie gundogs got distracted by some slugs. WHAT IS THIS ALL ABOUT? Well, we have had a great deal of rain here and as, apparently, we have a wet winter coming it seems a good time to get going on the HDS (His David’s Ship) WOOF...... AND TO BRING NEW DOGGIES UP TO SPEED........this is the doggies only BARK we are building so all doggies can cope with any flooding (I was going to call it an ARK but then thought “No er, someone has already done that”). Anyway, a virtual ticket for our maiden voyage is enclosed; however, following the twig collecting, the date of the voyage is as yet uncertain x

Hi Ben, some people say that you shouldn’t NAME and SHAME unpleasant behaviour on DoggySnaps. Well, I am going to make an exception to the rule because, quite frankly, enough is enough........The NAME is.....PURDEY...............THE SHAME is.....FOX POO. Now I guess that some people probably think I exaggerate Purdey’s predilection for recycled animal dinners.....well, this time the gorgeous little sod has got her comeuppance because I took a photograph of her in her fox poo finery and I have put it in her kennel for all her friends and supporters to see. Serves her right. The clean and fragrant ones, Princessliness Sarika and His Baldiness, are dropping off virtual photos of themselves.....”unpooed” they said somewhat smugly! Have fun x

Hi Ben, how are you? This is our first DS visit for a while because I’ve simply got fed up with my continuing difficulty in getting into my kennel. Everything is fine here, Her Princessliness remains just that and dobes is asleep. Today’s treat is practical and necessary, a bottle of eau de dogogne.....VERY necessary in our case as our sensational news is that Purdey is no longer THE POOMONSTER, she is now THE STINKMONSTER. She has stopped rolling in recycled animal dinners (no doubt aware that a BATH will result) and has now taken up rolling in places where there are just strong smells (and, yes, I know what that could be!). You can imagine the scenario.......she comes running out of the fields and she is not covered in poo.......PHEW .......which rapidly changes to COR, WHAT IS THAT EFFING STINK as she gets closer. More baths await, methinks. I daren’t change her name on here however as, if I do, it will probably take me even longer to get into my kennel! Have a good day x

Angus' Dad

Hi there, Angus here again. well today was still muggy but we had rain. Daddy had to go to Taunton this morning, he had a speeding course, to save him 3 points. I thought to have points is a good thing. I will never understand these humans. Not much to report, the pier is open again today, but of course no building just the pier. Maybe daddy will take me at the weekend. I dont know yet if they let doggies on it now. I've been on it in the past. Well, take care.. come and see me.. leaving you a big lamb bone to gnaw.... xxx Angus

Hi Ben, how are you? Getting older has simply nothing to recommend it, I realised that this morning when I was looking for my glasses. I knew that, being as blind as the proverbial bat, I had absolutely no hope of finding them unless I was actually wearing them, if you SEE what I mean. And I will not mention the senile moments which seem to come now with increasing frequency - did I shut the door? which door? why did I go upstairs? what was that I said I wouldn't forget? And the worrying thing is that I still have the male menopause to come!!!! Anyway, at least the doggies are all flourishing, the girlie gundogs spark each other off and seem to be in a permanent state of puppydom and it is wonderful and long may it last. And although Dobes is obviously beginning to feel his age and is sleeping most of the time, he remains a happy little chap. And none of them have to wear spectacles, the lucky sods. Today the threesome are delivering a bird's feather found by Purdey on our walk, a hair tie (Sarika's favourite toy, she loves it put on her nose) and a duvet (slightly used) from Max...oh yes, and an empty spectacle case. Have fun x

Hi Ben, as you know I have two hairy gundogs. What I want to know is why is it that one (her princessliness Sarika) can drink water and leave not a drip on the floor and the other (the poomonster Purdey) leaves the kitchen looking like we have had a tsunami in it? Is it because one is a princess? Does it have anything to do with fox/deer/duck/provider-unknown poo? Is it because her mum didn't train Purdey properly? Is it correctable? Shall I get Purdey a bib - one of those plastic ones that catch baby food? Do they still make them? Do they do them for dogs? HELP. It is DDDD58 (David's Dreadful Diet Day 58) and it was weigh day yesterday and it wasn't great, same weight as last week. I am a bit disappointed as I'm not aware of having eaten anything naughty and unfortunately the diet is under pressure this weekend as I intend "excessing to excess" at a wedding. More exercise required methinks. OH DEAR. Today therefore the girls and doberdog are dropping off a couple of my spare pounds (no, not of the cash variety!) to see if that helps, and a mop, just in case Purdey comes to visit you. Oh alright then, and a large piece of fillet steak too. Have fun x

Hi Ben, WOW....WOW...and more WOWs.....the weekend was marked by an absolutely sensational event.....a truly incredible result.....Drum Roll.......Another Drum Roll......And Another Drum Roll......No, not the rugby, even more incredible than that.......yes indeedy, Purdey didn't get to roll in anything stinky because we managed to stop her! She spotted something on our walk, something which would have been, invariably, very smelly and would also have been very unpleasant stuck to her neck and back!!! We think that, in a previous life, it had been a duck's dinner. Fortunately, Purdey was still on the lead so her loveliness (Mrs Davidmh not Sarika, not to say that Sarika isn't lovely, in fact she is very lovely) managed to pull her to her feet as she started to drop....EXCELLENT....Our first victory over the POOMONSTER which makes the score very much closer...Us 1 - Purdey 237. And now our walk....WE MET UP WITH SOME OTHER DOGGYSNAPPERS for the first time. It was brilliant because they all turned out to be great fun and really lovely and the doggies turned out to be even more gorgeous in real life than they are on here. Roll on the next meeting. And finally it will not come as a surprise to anyone that today the girls and doberdog are dropping off a portion of recycled duck's dinner to roll in...Purdey cannot have it(TeeHee), Sarika is far too much of a Laydee for such things and Max is asleep. PS Oh yes, it is of course DDDD35 (David's Dreadful Diet Day 35), gosh, 5 weeks now and weigh day tomorrow, I don't "feel" any lighter this week so we will see. Have fun x

Hi Ben, only had about 5 minutes for DoggySnaps yesterday as I had appointments with several Ms - not Maltesers unfortunately but Motorways, the M3, the M25 and the M23. Today's visit is about SARIKA who, as some will know, was yesterday announced as winner of the Humansnaps Laydee of the Month award for February, the Month of Lurve. I was really pleased and not a little proud and I just wanted to say thank you to all those who voted for her gorgeousness and also I wanted to compliment all the other lovely dogs who were nominated. In celebration we partied long into the night, apart from the other supermodel, Purdey, who was in disgrace, having again rolled in something that was both unmentionable and of uncertain origin but was, being typical Purdey, very smelly. Today the girls, the Laydee of the Month and Purdey (newly refragantised - nice make up word that), are delivering kisses to absolutely everyone and Max is delivering handshakes xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Oh yes, it is also DDDD30 (David's Dreadful Diet Day 30) and it was weigh day yesterday......10lbs gone now. I was chuffed about that too but not nearly as much as about my beautiful Sarika x

Hi Ben, DDDD16 (David's Dreadful Diet Day 16). Weigh day yesterday and 7lbs off now, that's the Christmas excess gone so now it gets difficult. Only a stone to go though and I was so pleased that I had to have some chocolate raisins to celebrate! The dogs health report: Sarika is now fully recovered from the nasty tummy bug, Max is still struggling with it and, unfortunately, Purdey's cast iron stomach turned out to be wishful thinking on my part as she has it too. All I can say is thank goodness for a tiled kitchen floor! Today's treats are some more of those essential aromatic incense sticks, some baby wipes and as many square metres of kitchen floor tiles as you would like. Have fun. PS Sarika is a nominee for HumanSnaps Laydee of the month for February. Should anyone vote for her, via the private message facility in BoviBoy's kennel, we would be very chuffed. Thank you. x

Hi Ben, it is DDDD7 (David's Dreadful Diet Day 7) and I find myself thinking of food and booze quite a lot of the time. It will not suprise you therefore that today the girls and doberdog are delivering a full english breakfast. I will list the constituent parts - two fried eggs, sausages, fried bread, baked beans, mushrooms, fried haggis, black pudding and bacon. YUMMMMMMMMMMMY. And, of course, a glass of a nice champers as a mouthwash. Enjoy. PS You might notice that four mouthfuls are missing....one each for the supermodels, one for doberdog and one for .................?
