Hi Shadow, a flying visit to leave treats, will be back mid week. My Mum thought it would be a quiet week but it looks like I will be home alone a bit more than usual this week, as it is my Dad’s busy week at work and my Mum is doing extra shifts so she can earn more money to help pay for a new gas fire that Skimble has broken by having a wee or at least trying to fix the old one – it is cold here, I don’t feel it because of my thick coat but the humans do. Hi Shadow, went to my hydrotherapy and the vets for my booster, the lady vet checked my joints, my arthritics isn’t too bad at present, after we returned from the vets Mum and Dad noticed Skimble limping, so another return trip, he mieowed all the way. Susan said his leg was swollen so he is on antibiotics and was given a painkiller. The house is decorated for Halloween, my Mum did take some photos of me and the witch pumpkin that will go outside, don’t know if they are any good, as I don’t like having my photo taken with strange things in the background, I think Tigger got photographed in a couple of them, my Dad will check them and if any good will post them on the site for a couple of days. We have doggy treats and lots of ‘little human’ treats The pumpkin still has to be carved we a cat face and we have a singing pumpkin dog and because I bark and come running to the door everytime the door bell rings, there is a dog warning sign so I don’t frighten the very little humans. No trick, a treat and a Halloween poem ‘ There is a spooky sound coming from the house next door, you can see them through the window as they bounce off the door. All gouls and goblins passing down the street as they all out looking for a halloween treat. There is a witch as she crackles as she jumps on her broom, then she springs through the night as she glides across the moon, you will jump when the monster glide through the air as they just want to give you a halloween scare. Hello Shadow, sorry we haven't visited for a while. We have had a cold day, with sunshine and showers. When we went in the fields this morning, we met a friend to run around with, and needless to say, we came back rather muddy. We are leaving crumpets for you tonight. Hi Shadow, what there is to tell, the humans have had a few 'hiccups' recently that they had to sort out. I am keeping the cats under control, although at times, I don't always get it right, bark at the wrong time and allegedly make matters worse. The other day, we were off for our walk, Zebedee was in the front garden, he has a tendency to follow us, my Mum went to get him, he rolled onto his back, she was about to pick him up, I barked, he run, I chased, wrong decision and my walk got even later because everytime, we tempted to leave the house, he was there lurking in the shadows, following us. Tigger, on the other hand has another trick, those of you with cats or have lived with cats, probably have experienced cats covering up they food dish after eating, Tigger, the greedy one, likes to check what everyone, including me is eating, he had spied a dish of food behind where I was lying, having a 5 minute rest, so he decided my fluffy tail was a good thing to hide the food, silly cat, didn't he know I would move and the food wouldn't stay hidden for long, even sillier, I didn't even feel him pick up my tail within his paws and move it for his own means. A sausage treat today. Love, Dylan and the cat gang xx xx

Hi Shadow, my Mum and Dad have nearly finished the painting, or at least all they are doing for the moment. I met another dog, a collie, he had white paint on his back, worse than me, apparently, his cat friend was even worse, I know he was a male doggy as he tried to have a pee on me. My tail is still tipped white but I go for a haircut in a fortnight, Whisky, one of our cats has paint on his back but as he is a black and white cat, it doesn't show. My Mum and Dad returned to one for my Dad's childhood haunts, very hilly and muddy, I had to be kept on the lead, as the noticed on the gate said 'Dogs not under control' will be s**t, it was because of those woolly white things that live on the hills, I was very good, didn't even let out a bark, not even when I met 3 other dogs on their leads. A lot of people practise their mountain bicycle skills there, my Mum commented, she could only just control her feet, let along a bike along the narrow pathways, her excuse she had notched up another birthday on today, your treat today is a doggy shaped birthday cake. Dear Shadow, I am so sorry I missed your birthday, belated birthday greetings, I hope you had a really great day, lots of fuss and treats. I have left you a belated birthday present, another ball to play with, wrapped up in masses of wrapping paper, as I think it is great fun tearing paper to bits. I have been painting with my tail & for days had a 'Applewhite' designer tail with delicate flicks on the ends, the cats have been keeping me busy, bit scared of Tigger, he sometimes blocks me in the kitchen & I have to bark so my Mum & Dad can remove him to enable me to get pass, it is those sharp things at the end of his claws, I don't like, he is into everything, the washing machine, dishwasher, he jumps onto my Mum back & she has to piggyback him to the settee, he has even learnt how to paw out the cat food out of tins. Do you remember Arthur, the white cat on TV a few years back?, he has copied that trick. Zebedee, sadly has been catching birds, we tried to save them, but as you know, once a cat catches one, sadly their fate is sealed, she attempted to revitalised one with water, he did respond but a few seconds later died in her hands. To human news, my Mum tried to set the kitchen alight, she made some watercress homemade soup & turn down the gas when she did something else, forgot to turn it off completely & when later put down her favourite doggy fleece on the stove ready for the next wash, went out to hang the first wash on the line, needless to say, the fleece went up in flames, she was so cross with herself for being so silly but it could have been a lot worse, if it had been Dad's shorts she could have replaced them from M&S but this fleece was a one off. I have been off my medication apart from joint care, to see how I fare, still get tired and I still get a limp but now the weather is cooler, it doesn't seem as bad, I tend to run around like a mad thing for the first 5 minutes & then run out of energy, if I meet my friend Susie, she keeps me going while the Mums chat. I am leaving you some Cullen Skink, my Mum has learnt her lesson & always double checks the gas ring is turned off. There is probably more to tell, but I haven't been in contact for a while, so might have forgotten some antics. Love, Dylan xx xx
