hello, I'm Joy, my friend is Sue. Thank you to all my friends who visited my baby while I've been away. It is the end of an era, a very sad time. I will visit when I am back
I am getting used to having another Jack Russell in the house. The moment I dreaded arrived, of course, and a small Jack Russell elderly lady arrived needing a home. Sue fell instantly in love with her, so how could I turn away? She isn't Ellie, she will never be Ellie, but she is a delightful wee thing, fitting in with the dobes, Nell and the cats as if she's always been here. Nell loves having a Russell about again, she misses Ellie, too. Some times it's hard, seeing another so like my baby, but she is her own self andwe love her for that. My Ellie is still my Ellie, and nothing will ever change that.

Hello Joy, what there is to tell, my Mum and Dad have had a few 'hiccups' recently that they had to sort out. I am keeping the cats under control, although at times, I don't always get it right, bark at the wrong time and allegedly make matters worse. The other day, we were off for our walk, Zebedee was in the front garden, he has a tendency to follow us, my Mum went to get him, he rolled onto his back, she was about to pick him up, I barked, he run, I chased, wrong decision and my walk got even later because everytime, we tempted to leave the house, he was there lurking in the shadows, following us. Tigger, on the other hand has another trick, those of you with cats or have lived with cats, probably have experienced cats covering up they food dish after eating, Tigger, the greedy one, likes to check what everyone, including me is eating, he had spied a dish of food behind where I was lying, having a 5 minute rest, so he decided my fluffy tail was a good thing to hide the food, silly cat, didn't he know I would move and the food wouldn't stay hidden for long, even sillier, I didn't even feel him pick up my tail within his paws and move it for his own means. Love, Dylan and the cat gang x Hugs to all the animals

Hello, Romany Ree here, Shona has now gone back to Uni in Leeds so Mam and I have reclaimed the computer and can communicate at leisure with our DS friends again. Yippee! Well, the other day Mam was flicking through her Robinson's catalogue which is full of horsey and doggy stuff when she suddenly had one of her 'I don't believe it!' moments. The offending article it seems was on page 220 - 'A Robinson's collapsible pet stroller' which apparently is 'suitable for dogs up to 10kg'. "Anyone who buys a dog so they can push it around in a pushchair ought to be taken outside and shot!" she raged. I think she takes a hard line on this one! Mind you, is this the same person who has just bought me a new heart-shaped ID tag - in pink! ( "That's different!" she snapped.) And just the other day I overheard her say "Daddy, what time are we taking the baby dog out?" !!! THE BABY DOG! I ask you. Has she forgotten I'm a rough tough farm-bred collie with ISDS papers and everything/ The words 'pot' and 'kettle' come to mind! Sending you page 220 of the Robinson's catalogue so you can see for yourself. (I'd shred it if I were you), lots of love Romany Ree xxx

Hi Joy, my Mum and Dad have nearly finished the painting, or at least all they are doing for the moment. I met another dog, a collie, he had white paint on his back, worse than me, apparently, his cat friend was even worse, I know he was a male doggy as he tried to have a pee on me. My tail is still tipped white but I go for a haircut in a fortnight, Whisky, one of our cats has paint on his back but as he is a black and white cat, it doesn't show. My Mum and Dad returned to one for my Dad's childhood haunts, very hilly and muddy, I had to be kept on the lead, as the noticed on the gate said 'Dogs not under control' will be s**t, it was because of those woolly white things that live on the hills, I was very good, didn't even let out a bark, not even when I met 3 other dogs on their leads. A lot of people practise their mountain bicycle skills there, my Mum commented, she could only just control her feet, let along a bike along the narrow pathways, her excuse she had notched up another birthday on today. Love, Dylan xx xx

Dear Joy, I am so sorry to hear the very sad news about Toby, it sounds like he went like Amber, lost the use of his legs, maybe it is an side effect ot these awful tumours. You gave him the best & was with him at the end, stroking his head, never leaving his side. My heart goes out to you, you Harry, & Toby are in my prayers, they are at peace, running around with Ellie, chasing each other. Much love, God bless, Janet, Dylan, Kizzy, Patches, Lucy, Whisky, Zebedee and Skimble x
