Hi Lady, how are you? I have had a BRILLIANT idea. I have put BRILLIANT in capitals because it REALLY is. I have two hairy gun dogs who are currently moulting into their summer coats - Sarika (injured paw much better) a bit, Purdey a lot. Purdey is shedding so much hair I thought we had a new puppy the other day, in fact I had already named it before I realised it was just Purdey cast offs! So two doggies with hair to spare...and then of course there is Max, who is certainly follically challenged ie bald...and then there is me. Now I wouldn't say I was bald but I was in a bank the other day, in a queue, when I noticed the security tv was showing the queue. On the screen there was some chap and the light was reflecting off his bald bits which seemed to cover his entire head. I was just thinking who is that poor bald "person of unknown parentage" when I realised who it was. Hmmmmmmm. So I have got dogs with spare hair and I've got Max the baldy and me. Simple, collect the hair, add a bit of glue and Max and I will be new hairy men - BRILLIANT. I am just not too sure about the colours - gold and dark grey - so we are sending some tufts over with a tube of super glue. See what you think. Have fun x

Hi Lady, goodness me it is windy here, I knew I would regret that second bowl of cabbage soup! Watched Crufts on the tv and there was that wonderful moment in the Friends for Life result when Harriet, the little girl with cerebral palsy, got upset after winning. Her dog, the beautiful Yepa, climbed onto Harriet's wheelchair to comfort her. It was such a wonderful moment it made me cry. The HWVs are such a fabulous sensitive breed. As a tribute to Yepa, her princessliness Sarika has been in the kitchen making an Hungarian goulash which she is sending over. Purdey is bringing the mashed potato and a vegetable of your choice and Max is bringing some bread with which you can mop up all those lovely juices. Enjoy x

Hi Lady, ...a RANT AND A LAUGH TODAY. First the RANT.....What is it about some cyclists? On our walk this morning I saw a cyclist coming down the footpath. I called Sarika and Purdey (Max was still asleep), they came to me, and, with them, I stood off the edge of the path in a field which had young corn growing. Whereupon, as he came by, I got a load of abuse from the cyclist about standing on the crop etc. I pointed out that I had collected the dogs and got them out of his way despite me, as a pedestrian, having right of way over him on the path. It had been clear that he wasn't going to stop. He said not to worry about the dogs because if they came anywhere near him he would kick them out of the way. It is probably not advisable to put my next words and thoughts in writing!!!!,.....And now a LAUGH......We found Sarika and Purdey stuck to the fridge this morning, the little sods had been at the fridge magnets so I guess it served them right! It made walking quite entertaining when we got near things metal. Only joking! Today's treat from the girls and doberdog is a no-go area for difficult cyclists and a fridge magnet (recycled!). Have fun x

Hi Lady, DDDD16 (David's Dreadful Diet Day 16). Weigh day yesterday and 7lbs off now, that's the Christmas excess gone so now it gets difficult. Only a stone to go though and I was so pleased that I had to have some chocolate raisins to celebrate! The dogs health report: Sarika is now fully recovered from the nasty tummy bug, Max is still struggling with it and, unfortunately, Purdey's cast iron stomach turned out to be wishful thinking on my part as she has it too. All I can say is thank goodness for a tiled kitchen floor! Today's treats are some more of those essential aromatic incense sticks, some baby wipes and as many square metres of kitchen floor tiles as you would like. Have fun. PS Sarika is a nominee for HumanSnaps Laydee of the month for February. Should anyone vote for her, via the private message facility in BoviBoy's kennel, we would be very chuffed. Thank you. x

Wow what a busy time we've had. Food Human was 18 just before dogmas so Walk Human and Ginger James took him out and when he came back the following morning he went into the place where we are given a B.A.T.H. and spent 3 hours making Bloooaarrrgh!!! noises until Fat, Grey Dad took pity on him and made him drink fizzy white stuff and put him in his basket. He didn't get out of his basket until after our supper time. Cuddle Human shouted at Walk Human, Ginger James and for some reason FGD. We didn't understand how it could be FGD's fault as he was snuggled with us on the long basket watching the coloured sound box in the corner all night. Dogmas eve finally arrived. FGD went out to the club and came in after our supper time, smelling really funny. He said he'd "Had a key bab", Cuddle Human said that "He wasn't getting any where near her in that state and could sleep on the long basket down stairs". He did this but made pig noises all night. We opened our przzies in the morning and had such fun with the wrapping paper. Anyway we are going to play with our tug sent from Paco just to annoy Food Human. Treat Time.

Well. Fat Grey Dad went out Friday night with Walk Human and Food Human. they said they were taking "The Old Man" down town for a pint or two. Two pints of water would make us widdle all night, but FGD seems to be able to take it. Any way we had just got Cuddle Human settled down and were snuggled down on her nicely when Food Human and Walk Human came back. It was only 10:30 and they weren't staggering and unable to speak so we knew something was wrong. FGD wasn't with them, he was something called "Nicked". Apparently he had had something called a "Skirmish". A Human was outside a drinking place and had been walloping his female. FGD told him to stop and this human turned on him. Anyway the Police Humans arrived and picked this human up off the floor where FGD put him. Food Human said that his nose was "up around his ear". The Police Humans took FGD away and put him in the naughty dog basket for the night. They told him he was a naughty boy and let him go the following morning after the female human who was being beaten had said what had happened. The human with the broken face has been arrested so alls well that ends well. FGD's back and Cuddle Human has finally stopped shouting at him. Alls well with the world. Treat time.

You are not going to believe it! Molli and I were tricked again! Fat, Grey Dad and Cuddle Human played with us and gave us tummy scratches and when we were relaxed FGD held us upside down and Cuddle Human clipped the fur on our paws. WE ARE NOT HAPPY!!!!!!! I had mops and was very proud of them, now we are back to having skinny paws again. This is really not on! Our mate Shelly the Tortoise exacted our revenge though. We all laughed at FGD when he was cleaning out "The Shellsters" bedding and she bit him hard enough to draw blood! FGD is not even quick enough to get out of the way of a tortoise!!! Ha Ha. Treat time!

Hi there. Well what a weekend we've had. There was a lot of rushing about Saturday night. Fat, Grey Dad was in a tizzy. He was looking for a box and couldn't find it. he searched everywhere. He found it in Food Human's room. He was not happy, had Food Human been home it would have been rolled up newspaper time. We couldn't see what all the fuss was about, it was only some pretty coloured ribbons with shiny bits of metal on the end. Anyway FGD got up really early on Sunday, put on his interview clothes, and drove away. He didn't come back until after we had had our supper. Apparently he'd been to see "The Queen", we're not sure what a queen is but we think it's like Cuddle human but with a much bigger pack. Can you believe it, FGD was once part of this Queen's pack and he went to see all his old packmates called Falklands Veterans and they had a walk through London! Sounds like fun, but FGD was sad when he came home, we don't know why. All in All a very confusing weekend. Treat time.

A very good evening to you. We have just eaten and are now chillin’ by our human sister’s feet, waiting for her mates to get here – something about them going to a party?? Anyways, as you all know it was Halloween the other day and we only had two lots of trick-or-treaters: the first lot was fine, there were 5 young girls all dressed as witches and they all said “aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh” when the two of us ran to answer the door. Then they said “wicccccked!” when our human sister presented them with the MA-HOOSIVE basket of sweets and chocolates (she loves it because now she can finish up what’s left hehehe!! We wish we could have some too......) But then the other trick-or-treater was just this young guy by himself and he had a scary mask on. I (Lily) ran to answer the door as usual but when I saw his mask I started barking because it was ugly and freaky................so I scared him! Hehe. That made the owners laugh I’m telling you. Sending some hot dogs as treats today – smothered in tomato ketchup and wrapped in yummy scrummy cheese. Enjoy! Love Ria & Lily ♥X♥X♥X♥

You will not believe it. We were tricked! Tricked!!! Fat, Grey Dad went upstairs and when we went to see what he was doing he shut us in the room that Food Human spends so much time in before he goes to meet his lady and comes out smelling strange. The big bowl was full of frothy water and FGD chucked us in! He scrubbed us and showered us and dried us. WE ARE NOT HAPPY. Rose is all curly and I'm now shedding like there is no tomorrow. Cuddle human is making tutting noises at all the white hair, well it's all her fault,if she hadn't got FGD to ambush us we'd be fine. Anyway here's a treat.

Gooooooooooooooooooood evening!!!! We hope you are feeling fine. We are both doing ok. It’s me (Ria) writing this message on our human dad’s phone internet because we are currently on our walk. It’s a lovely evening. This weather is so weird – it rains one day and is really cold, then the next day the sun is shining and it’s hot!! Our owners keep on saying that this is not our usual October weather. Can you believe it’s October?? It will be Christmas soon…YAY!!!!!!!!!!!! But anyways, yeah we’re on our walk. Before we left I (Ria) did something which our human sister thought was clever – she went to put my car harness on before my collar so I nudged my collar with my nose to remind her. She gave me a cuddle and said I was clever hehe!! I’ll take any amount of that. Lily and I have actually swapped car harnesses now which feels strange. It’s because Lily’s is a bit too tight for her now (she insists that it’s because she’s getting her winter coat and not because she’s eating a lot, hmmmmmmm.) Treats for all! Gotta love you ‘n’ leave you. Ria & Lily the Collies. ♥X♥X♥X♥

Fat, Grey Dad has had a good weekend. Can't say that we have! He went to the club on Saturday and when he came back he was acting very strange. Cuddle human said that he'd been putting too much "townhouse bitter" in his water bowl. He kept saying that "webeat ThOzzies" and then he fell asleep on the setee and made the pig noises for three hours. Cuddle human was not happy! She was even more unhappy when he did it again on Sunday watching the cricket. Oooohhhhh he has some making up to do. We didn't mind 'cos while he's asleep we can lie on him. treat time.
