Hi Alfie, the work on the doggies only ark has stopped!!! Not because of workers industrial action (when I say workers I use the term very loosely as I, of course, refer to Sarika, Purdey, Maxwell and me and Maxwell is asleep and the other three of us are pretty useless at ark building!), not because of poor pay or long hours or union policy. Nope, work has stopped on HDS (His David's Ship) WOOF because the sun has come out. It is dry and warm and long may it remain so. Following various incidents featuring my fingers and thumbs, the hammer and me, I am sure that I heard a sigh of relief from the aforementioned digits (those that remain) when we decided to down tools. As a result, today the girlies and dobes are delivering some Soltan factor 25 sun lotion, a knotted handkerchief (also known as my sunhat) and my hammer (because it will be safer if you look after it). Have fun x
Hi Alfie, my broadband crashed yesterday when trying to visit kennels so here we are today, how are you? We had a lot of rain here over the weekend and the tracks turned into muddy streams. Now I was never a Boy Scout but I remember their motto "Be Prepared", so I have decided it is time to build a boat, just in case we get more floods. I was going to call it an ARK but then I thought "No er, someone has already done that". So I have decided to call it a BARK. Not BARK as in sailing ship but BARK as in WOOF. In fact, on reflection, I shall call it a WOOF.... DAVID'S WOOF.......that has got a nice ring about it, don't you think? Anyway, it is for doggies only so let me know if you would like to reserve a place on DAVID'S WOOF, reasonable rates. On Sunday I made some thai fishcakes which were yummy so the girls, doberdog and I are sending some more over, this time with sweet chilli sauce. Got to go now because there are people at the door, OO ER it is the men in white coats!! Have fun x
Hi Alfie, well mum's been working all weekend but i got to go with her on Saturday it was great there was loads of other dogs in the kennels on there holidays, i got to see all my old friends. my paw is 100% better now. leaving you some nice crunchy nut cornflakes love Brock & Family.x.x.x.x
Hi Alfie, how are you? Sarika, Purdey, Max and their aged slave wish you and yours a lovely Easter and are sending you each a virtual Easter Egg full of happiness. x
Hi Alfie, i went for my annual jabs yesterday, dont mind the first one it's the kennel cough i dont like, up your nose whats that all about?????. Anyway ive lost a kg and a half, but the dog doctor say's i still need to lose 3kg, i think i would be skin and bone if i did that lol. my mum say's im on a diet but me and my 2 and a half yr old human brother Tyler have an arrangment if you know what i mean lol. well atleast i will get out on alot more walks, hope you are good and your mummy too, leaving a nice bag of mini eggs lots a love Brock.x.x.x.x
Hi Alfie, It's actually been a nice day here today, ive just come back off my evening walk with my mum and she put my flashing visiglow collar on, i think i look like an ambulance on the end of a lead but mum say's it keeps me safe out at night, left you some nice bonoffee pie love Brock & Family.x.x.x.xx.
Hi Alfie, a quick visit today because I have an appointment with a sofa, a television set and a couple of rugby matches (come on Ireland, come on England). Whilst walking the girls this morning I went near a house where, judging by the most wonderful aromas, someone was cooking breakfast. What is it about the smell of bacon cooking? Whatever it is and maybe because of my diet, it started me off and I simply could not stop salivating. I do not wish to exaggerate the extent of the resultant flooding but suffice to say I was a) very pleased that nobody saw and b) very pleased I had my wellies on and c) very pleased that the girlie gundogs can both swim! Oh the embarrassment! I would be grateful if we could keep this "hush hush" and between ourselves should you hear anything about unexplained flooding in a leafy country lane in Berkshire. I am sure the water level will drop soon. Anyway today Sarika is invariably dropping off an unopened packet of unsmoked back bacon, thick sliced, Purdey is dropping off a frying pan and Max, ever practical, is dropping off a life raft - just in case someone near you cooks a fry-up and I am in the vicinity. Have an excellent weekend and lots of fun x
Hi Alfie, THE GOOD NEWS, it is DDDD65 (David's Dreadful Diet Day 65) and yesterday was weigh day...guess what, 1 stone 2 lb gone now. I am very chuffed because I did scoff a lot of really yummy stuff at the wedding on Saturday. I guess that the excess has gone because it has got jolly cold here and I have exercised and shivered it off. Turning off the central heating and keeping all the windows open was clearly one of my better ideas although I am not convinced that Mrs Davidmh agrees, it is the first time she has ever had a bath while wearing gloves and a hat!!! Ho Ho (only joking but what a very good idea...Hmmmmm...!). And now the doggies: well, they are all blooming, the girls are getting plenty of exercise and Max is slowly increasing his awake hours. THE UGH NEWS, speaking of Max, he had an "accident" of the "dumping" type in the kitchen yesterday; guess who cleared it up? It wasn't him, it wasn't me or the begloved and behatted wife and, of course, it wasn't the princessliness Sarika. Purdey cleared it up, if you know what I mean! As a result the Poomonster will not be kissing me in the near future! THE TREAT NEWS, I made a thai red prawn curry for Mrs Davidmh yesterday and there is some left over so the girls and doberdog are dropping that off with some sticky rice. Enjoy x
Hi Alfie, gorgeous pic, nice to meet you....well "it is good news and bad news" said my beautiful dentist "the good news is that your teeth are fine, the bad news is that your gums have got to come out!" Fortunately she is not only beautiful but also has a sense of humour - but I had better have another check-up tomorrow and the day after and the day after....etc (did I mention that she is beautiful?!!!!). Today the girls and doberdog are dropping off Terrine of Duck, Ginger and Spring Onion with Red Onion Marmalade and Toasted Brioche, Tender Cooked Fillet of Beef set on a Potato Rosti finished with a Red Onion Marmalade, Raspberry Brulee with a Grand Marnier Poached Fig plus Freshly Brewed Coffee and Petit Fours and a Selection of British and Continental Cheeses accompanied by Celery. Grapes and Fruit Chutney. That is what I scoffed at the wedding on Saturday, it is perhaps not surprising that I am approaching tomorrow's weigh in on DDDD64 (David's Dreadful Diet Day 64)with rather a lot of interest/trepidation. And, as it is a lovely day here, cold but sunny, I'd better get the dog walks in as snow is forecast so we will see you soon. Have fun x
Hiya Alfie, hope you are good and eating plenty of gowing up food to make you big and strong like me lol, just thought i would drop by with some flowers for your mummy seeing as it's mothers day love & Licks Brock & Family.x.x.x.x.x
