Hi Zoe, I thought I just left you a message, but I think the computer just swallowed it up! I am glad you love Galgos and sighthounds, they are my favourites, although I truly love all dogs. When I lived in England I had a lurcher from Dogs Trust in Kenilworth (then still called NCDL). He was a wonderful dog and good buddy and much admired here in Germany, as here we don't really have lurchers. Hope you are all well. Love Antje, Audrey and Keolo

Hi, I am glad to hear that you love Galgos and lurchers. They are my favourie breed, although I really love all dogs. Keolo has turned out to be the most affectionate dog imaginable, he is kind, funny and really sweet. He does have an incredible hunting instinct, because they are bred to hunt and I imagine at some time in his past he was used for hunting until considered no longer useful and just gotten rid off. Greetings from Germany from Antje, Audrey and Keolo

My heart lurched when you told me about the missing Saluki. I remember walking near Ilkley Moor last year and there were some frantic people looking for their spaniel. Heartbreaking. I often think about that time and hope they found him. We are fine and Wil has had visitors this weekend so is soooo tired. My sisters are both into their horses though they don't compete anymore. I was too lazy as a kid to get up that early and care for a horse like they did so went down the swimming route instead and had to get up even earlier! The things we do eh? Hope you are well, Viki and Wil xx

Hi What a crazy holiday for you! Poor Maddie - I know how thin lurchers skin seems to be and how long it takes to heal. Hope you are all better now and enjoyed your holiday despite the initial trauma! Viki and Wil

Hi Zoe Wow I have been so busy - I just don't seem to have the time to regularly say hello at the moment! Well we survived the intense heat of last week - only just though! Wil has been glairing at me as if it were my fault and I had left the heating on or something! I had the school concert to organise/run/stress over and rehearsals were getting hotter and hotter. The poor kids were drinking water by the gallon and still looked frazzled. All was forgotten though as the performances were great and all went home hot and happy. So the weather has broken a bit now and we have sun and showers which will no doubt do the garden some good. Hope you are well! Viki and Wil

from pLoD to Molly
Hi Maddie and Sam, Molly and Lily here, sorry, we haven't been round in a while! Is everyone enjoying the heat wave? I think its a bit much, but then we British are always complaining..eh? Too bad if its raining, far too hot if its sunny! I have an emergency plan for weeks like these Heres how it goes... 6:00am: Pester owners to take me for a walk (get out early and avoid the heat - the cold air does wonders for the skin aswell!) 7.30am: Get back home. Run around with Lily, trying to trip everyone up and generally annoy them, (20 points for the feet, 50 for the face!) to get rid of pent up adrenaline! 7:45am: Attempt a small snack. I prefer to nash my nosh throughout the day, so by dinner time I have usually just managed to finish breakfast. 8.00am SLEEEPPPP....ZzZzZzZzZzzZzZ 4.00pm Wake up in the hope for a walk 5.00pm Pretend to be really tired to avoid wasting your energy by your owners taking you to jump those hurdles and weave through those sticks. (You'd really rather just jump the fence into the piggies next door!) 8.00pm More sleep. So its pretty simple really, the basic idea is...Sleep, eat, walk, sleep, eat, walk..... Let me know how the new regiem goes! :P Remember to enjoy the summer...its only going to last this week! Molly and Lily. x

Hello Maddie, thank you for making me feel welcome on DS. It's great meeting all these new friends. I've just got back from my obedience classes, not that I think I need them, but my mam and dad think otherwise. I'm training for my kennel club bronze medal - so wish me luck. I'm hoping to gain my silver and gold too but I've got an awful lot to learn just yet. It's great fun and I do enjoy causing havoc in the class some times and not doing as I'm told, but I also have met lots of friends there too. I have left you a nice big juciy lamb bone for you so please do enjoy. From your new friend Holly xx
